Toyota Tundra & GMC Sierra win the Kelley Blue Book award

Many of us consider depreciation one of the main factors when selecting a new car. The more a vehicle costs after five years of use, the more attractive it becomes as an investment for future resale. Kelley Blue Book tries to determine which models maintain their value the longest, and the results have just been announced for 2021.

Apparently, the new Toyota Tundra is the most promising investment right now: you can expect it to keep around 70 percent of its original value after five years of driving. The GMC Sierra is not too far behind with 61% of the cost preserved on average.

The listing includes as many as four other pickups as well, specifically the Toyota Tacoma, Ford Maverick, Ford Ranger and Jeep Gladiator. They all can be depended upon to keep around 50% of their value after half a decade of use.

Closing the top-10 list are Chevrolet Corvette, Ford Maverick, Toyota 4Runner and Tesla Model X.
