Toyota reports over 10,000 pre-orders of its Urban Cruiser mini-SUV for India, which comes priced below even the Hyundai Creta on that market.
The car is essentially a rebadged Suzuki Vitara Brezza with its headlights, bumpers and radiator grille redesigned for identity. Toyota claims it has received 10,000+ orders during the launch week.
Powering the tiny crossover is a 105-hp (77-kW) gasoline engine paired with a mild-hybrid system, a manual transmission (DCT optional) and front wheel drive. Options include an air conditioner, a reversing camera, a stability control system and a multimedia box with a 7-inch display.
The model is expected to be released on other markets later.
