Toyota previews a deluxe Vellfire trim for JMS

The Toyota Auto Body division will attend the Japan Mobility Show this month with a particularly opulent take on the Vellfire van, dubbed Spacious Lounge.

The entire rear half of the van is dedicated to just two passengers, who get to enjoy individual seats, tables, coat hangers, power sockets and a shared drinks fridge. A partition wall separates the front seat row from the rest of the cabin. While the whole is being presented as a concept, odds are good that the Spacious Lounge will reach production sooner or later.

Another project that Toyota Auto Body is bringing to the show is called X-Van Gear. In contrast to the luxury van, it is a hardcore off-roader for the adventurous types among us. Its 4,695 mm of body length and 2,965 mm of wheelbase enable it to have three seat rows with just one seat in the middle row (it can be unfolded into a dining table).
