Toyota Motor Co. and its affiliate Kinto have launched Morizo Selection, a service that owners of Toyota cars can subscribe to if they want to get regular updates for their vehicles, including custom parts.
Pictured here is the first model to which the initiative applies, the GR Yaris Special edition RZ High-performance Morizo Selection. Morizo is the racing nickname of Toyota CEO Akio Toyoda, who even left his autograph on the windshield.
The car can be specified in white, red or black with Rookie Racing badges throughout. The springs, the shocks and the stitching inside also correspond to the colors of the racing team that worked on designing the special edition.
Starting next spring, owners will be getting regular software updates and other nice things. Toyota says it will reveal the rest of the details later, and hints that custom orders may also be processed.
Buying a Toyota GR Yaris RZ High-performance in Japan is a matter of having at least 4.56 million Yen. In return for their money, drivers receive a 1.6-liter turbocharged three-pot boosted to 272 PS (268 hp / 200 kW) and 370 Nm (273 lb-ft) of torque, which links to a six-speed manual transmission and AWD system.
A three-year membership in Morizo Selection will cost 54,340 Yen per month, but your individual needs and requirements can affect the end price.
