You’d think the current GR version of the Yaris hatchback is as good as they get, but according to a recent spy video filmed at the Nürburgring, Toyota has an even cooler version of it in the works.
Since the hottest Yaris GR came out, media have repeatedly been making it the center of everyone’s attention. No surprise here: the car packs what Toyota claims to be world’s strongest three-cylinder turbo, rated at 272 PS (268 hp / 200 kW). A mechanical transmission has a special AWD coupling that can redirect up to 100% of torque to either axle whenever needed.
The special edition spotted on the ‘Ring this weekend has to be a GRMN vehicle. This is indicated by its signature front bumper outfitted with aerodynamic upgrades, an elaborately designed rear wing and pass-through front fender vents. Aside from that, it looks like the suspension is stiffer and lower than before.
