The Yaris badge seems very dear to Toyota, which has already released the SUV-like Yaris Cross and the sporty GR Yaris. Another version has now joined the business vehicle lineup in Spain.
Called the Yaris ECOVan, it is a hatchback with only two seats and a large trunk area suitable for last-mile and other deliveries. The raised floor is lined with wooden planks and covered with a rubber mat. There are hooks and loops for convenient securing of load, as well as a partitioning mesh between the cockpit and the trunk.
According to Toyota, the Yaris ECOVan can carry up to 720 liters (25.43 cubic feet) of cargo, a considerable upgrade over the standard hatchback’s 286 liters (10.1 cubic feet). Power comes from a hybrid system rated at 118 PS (116 hp / 87 kW) and 141 Nm (104 lb-ft) of torque.
