The new and shiny Toyota Yaris GRMN hot hatch soon rolls into showrooms in Great Britain. Let’s have a look at what it has to offer.
First off, it should be mentioned that the car is part of a limited series of just 400 vehicles with custom design by Gazoo Racing. As such, it should be available in Europe with a £26,295 price tag – quite a hefty sum to pay for a ride of its class.
The new vehicle is driven by a 1.8-liter air-injection V4 with 209 hp. Its interior lacks premium-grade finishing. Even the steering wheel height is not adjustable. Tall people could also fail to appreciate the rather high-positioned seats – it’s hardly much fun poking the roof of your car with your head.
So what’s the main selling point of the otherwise controversial Toyota Yaris GRMN? It must be the design, plus the high suspension that looks like something that belongs to the classic car era.
