The Japanese automotive giant Toyota Motor Corporation has unveiled an update to its Yaris compact car. The newcomer goes by the name of Yaris Cross and is already available for purchase in South America.
The new Toyota Yaris Cross comes with extra plastic moldings for more body protection, updated LED lights and unique, massive 16-inch wheels. Its interior is draped in premium-grade leather and features an up-to-date infotainment system with navigation, among other things.
Remarkably, despite the word ‘Cross’ added to its model description, the dimensions of the new car as well as its road clearance have remained exactly the same as in the predecessor model.
A gasoline-powered, 1.5L 2NR-FE Dual VVT-i engine with 108 hp and 140 Nm of torque sits under the hood of the refreshed Toyota Yaris Cross.
