Packing 261 PS (257 hp / 192 kW) in a 1.6-liter turbo three-pot, the GR Yaris became everyone’s favorite hot hatch as soon as it debuted in 2020. The only thing that could repel some would-be buyers was the fact that it came with six-speed stick shift and no other options. Luckily for us, Italian tuner X Shift stepped in to fill in the gap.
Starting now, you can contact the company for a seven-speed sequential gearbox that’s fully certified and street-legal. Once the oily bits are all installed, the crew removes the gear lever from the transmission tunnel and puts paddle shifters under the steering wheel. The whole conversion costs $10,000–15,000 depending on certain options.
