The Old World has voted with its wallet keeping the Toyota Yaris on its bestseller list for ten years straight. 176,000 hatchbacks found new owners in 2022 alone. No wonder Toyota chose Europe as the presentation site for the facelift model.
Having said that, it could hardly be called a facelift: the exterior stays unchanged except for the wheels and new body color options. Where things get more exciting is the cabin. Drivers can now order a fully featured digital dash sized 7 or 12.3 inches large in any trim level. A 9-inch infotainment screen is now provided as standard, with the higher trims benefiting from a larger 10.5-inch panel. Finally, over-the-air updates are now fully supported.
A second hybrid option made it into the powertrain list with an improved electric motor. The combined output maxes out at 130 PS (128 hp / 96 kW).
