2025 Toyota GR Yaris debuts in Japan

The hot hatchback packs some new goodies promising superior comfort and performance at the same time.

New shock absorbers, suspension mounts and recalibrated power steering should result in sharper handling and cornering. Those opting for an automatic transmission will appreciate to know that it now shifts even faster when flooring the pedal for maximum acceleration.

An optional body kit called Aero Performance is also now available in Japan. It includes a large rear wing, an extra splitter, fuel tank aero plates, and redesigned air vents in the hood, the bumpers and the front fenders.

Domestic prices for the GR Yaris start from ¥3.56 million and reach ¥5.33 million with all boxes ticked.
