Tuners unleash world’s most powerful Lotus Emira Down Under

Simply Sport Cars, an Australian company specializing in importing Lotus vehicles to the UK, has introduced a tuned version of the Emira coupe. It’s coming to the market in a strictly limited production batch with a hundred extra horsepower.

Dubbed the Emira Turbo Bathurst Edition, it elevates the output of its AMG-sourced 2.0-liter four-pot from 406 PS (400 hp / 299 kW) all the way to 510 PS (503 hp / 375 kW). The torque goes up by 120 Nm (89 lb-ft) to 600 Nm (443 lb-ft). The launch time hasn’t been measured, but even a regular Emira, like the one in the video above, is good for a four-second sprint to 100 km/h (62 mph).

Owing its name to the Bathurst Circuit, it also features adjustable suspension and camber and takes advantage of some high-end aero parts, like a giant front splitter and a fixed rear wing. It rides on custom 20-inch wheels shod in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires and uses AP Racing four-piston brakes for deceleration.

Only 15 units will be made and offered starting from 250,000 AUD, which comes to 176,000 USD.
