The ongoing worldwide transition to electric means of transportation could not go unnoticed by the military services. Electric automaker Canoo has just signed a contract with the U.S. Army according to which it will provide it with its latest EV model for analysis and thorough testing.
Tony Aquila, the senior executive of the Canoo brand, pointed out that letting the army use the company’s proprietary all-electric chassis will go a long way towards proving its potential.
The automaker is already cooperating with the U.S. government agencies. For instance, in June 2022 the company presented an electric minibus designed for carrying NASA astronauts to the launchpad. The project is called NASA Artemis, and EV shipments within its framework will continue until June 2023.
