German EV startup Vanwall has shared the first computer renderings of its upcoming Vandervell hot hatch scheduled to reach the showrooms in Q3 2023. The company calls it a sports car, arguing that it can go 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.4 seconds.
On the outside, the five-door hatchback looks boxy with large wheels. The interior remains to be shown, but we already know that the more affordable Vandervell S spec will get two electric motors jointly rated at 320 PS (316 hp / 235 kW). The battery on board will yield 450 km (280 miles) of range on a charge. Sprinting to 100 km/h (62 mph) will take 4.9 seconds.
As for the range-topping Vandervell S Plus, it will command 580 PS (572 hp / 427 kW) and complete the launch in the 3.4 seconds mentioned above. As a downside, its range will be slightly lower at 420 km (261 miles).
Only 500 units will be made and sold starting from €128,000.
