Venucia, a car brand co-founded in China between Dongfeng and Nissan, has shared the images of its next car – the VX6. According to CarNewsChina, it will be the marque’s first vehicle in the increasingly popular electric SUV segment of the Chinese market. The sales will start closer towards the end of the year.
The off-roader will be running on an all-new chassis with independent suspension designed specifically for battery cars. Preliminary data suggests it will be 4,658 mm long, 1,890 mm wide and 1,656 mm tall with 2,850 mm between the axles.
Rumor has it that the production version of the Venucia VX6 will utilize a single electric motor with 218 PS (215 hp / 160 kW) and be able to reach 165 km/h (102 mph) in a straight line.
In terms of appearance, the newcomer attracts attention with its unusual front bumper, two-tier headlights and a higher-than-usual hood line.
The automaker plans to keep introducing 2 new EVs every year in order to reach 300,000 annual sales. Venucia’s strategic goal is 500,000 EVs sold in China per year.
