German automotive giant Volkswagen AG has released a teaser video demonstrating the T-Roc R, a performance version of the regular T-Roc SUV, running laps at the Nürburgring Circuit in Germany.
The hot SUV remains concealed under a layer of test mule camouflage, but we have already seen some of its earlier photos to form a general idea of what it looks like. In particular, the R trim comes with a redesigned front bumper that sports massive air intakes, a new four-pipe exhaust system and 19-inch rims.
Industry pros expect the car to ship with a 2.0-liter turbo V4 engine rated at 310 hp / 231 kW, working in unison with a 7-speed DCT box and 4WD.
The regular Volkswagen T-Roc arrived two years ago with six drivetrain options to choose from, ranging from 115 hp / 86 kW in base to 190 hp / 142 kW in the top trim.
