All-electric Volkswagen T6 debuts in March

How does a lone tuner manage to attract the audience’s attention at a major automobile show? Of course, by demonstrating something unique and useful! ABT Sportsline seems to understand the rules of the game well, as it plans to arrive at the 2019 Geneva motor show with an all-electric and visually-tuned Volkswagen T6.

The upgraded vehicle goes by the name “ABT e-Transporter”. It boasts several new parts, including a new rear splashguard with a grille, side skirts, a rear wing and a restyled rear bumper.

The tuner ditches the factory wheels for a set of 20-inch rims with lowered suspension. It also paints the body with a refreshing combination of black. grey and green.

The Volkswagen T6 by ABT comes powered by an electric motor capable of 110 hp (82 kW) and 200 Nm (148 lbft) of torque. It can travel around 200 kilometers (125 miles) on a single charge, and later on, ABT will also be releasing a higher trim with 400 km (250 mi) driving range.

The ABT e-Transporter will hit the showrooms in 3Q 2019, available in both passenger and commercial/cargo versions.

The company is currently working on another minivan, this time an all-electric conversion of the Volkswagen Caddy.
