The Netherlands-based subdivision of Volkswagen AG has mistakenly uploaded a promotional video today featuring the company’s upcoming all-electric “ID” hatchback with barely any cladding on. The company was quick to react, removing the video almost instantly after its publication, but a few users have still managed to snap a few screenshots.
The five-door vehicle has not been officially introduced yet, although rumors say it is going to be called “Neo”. The concept car shown in the video boasts a red/blue livery and sports originally shaped LED headlights next to a bumper with long horizontal slits.
The car also has a rather prominent windshield, thin A-pillars for optimal FOV, side windows starting farther up front than the mirrors, a small roof spoiler, and a Golf-like taillights.
Volkswagen says the all-electric car will ship with a single engine rated at 168 hp (125 kW) and a choice among three battery sizes ranging from 48 to 111 kilowatt-hours. Depending on your choice, the maximum range will vary between 330 and 550 kilometers (205 – 342 miles).
