VW unveils 7 USA-oriented concepts at SoWo

The SoWo motor show hosted in the USA is similar in many ways to the Wörtherseetreffen event hosted by Volkswagen AG in Austria. The North American department of the German car marque unveils numerous new concept cars, sometimes using the help of tuners and other aftermarket specialists. At the ongoing SoWo 2019, VW has unveiled as many as seven concepts – so let us have a closer look.

The Atlas Basecamp SUV is a work of Fifteen52. The tuner equipped it with 17-inch wheels clad in off-road rubber, an Air Design body kit, an H&R suspension lift kit, extra lighting, and a bike rack.

The Tiguan Adventure Concept boasts huge Rotiform WGR wheels, the same H&R lift kit, skid plates, custom running boards, a rear spoiler, and a kayak rack.

Three vehicles represent the VW Golf family here. The Golf R Spektrum hot hatch boasts lowered stance along with Vossen Hybrid Forged HF-1 wheels. Its sibling, the GTI Rabbit Confetti, sports rabbit images covering its entire body, a custom roof rack, 19-inch Rotiform RSE wheels, and a low ride height. Finally, the Golf Alltrack Combi is an estate/wagon that somehow manages to have a GTE front bumper, a GTI Rabbit Edition spoiler and a GTD gear selector all at once. It also rides lower than stock, has a Thule Motion box, and boasts a roof rack with a light bar next to it.

The Arteon R-Line SEMA Concept has already debuted earlier this year, but comes with a number of slight improvements, including Forge Motorsport brake discs, 21-inch Vossen forged wheels, and Luft Technik aluminum floor pads.

Last but not least, the Jetta GLI Super Touring sedan/saloon boasts a spoiler, Fiftee52 rims, K&W Variant 3 DDC coilovers, new exhaust tips, and performance brakes.

All cars sport exclusive paintjobs.
