It has only been a few days since we told you about the unique Opel O-Team Zafira Life van customized to look like the iconic vehicle from the 1980s U.S.-filmed TV series ‘A-Team’. Imagine our surprise when ABT Sportsline came out earlier today with its own bit of homage to the popular series! Enter the DA-Teambus!
While the Opel/s conversion was based on a Zafira Life van, this one uses a 2019 Volkswagen T6 as its starting point. The MPV wears a familiar styling package consisting of various front, side and rear add-ons, radiator grille inserts, a rear wing, and a muffler culminating in two black tailpipes situated left and right. The latter is actually quite unusual, since the tuner has been known to use chrome-coated exhaust tips most of the time.
The car rides on a set of ABT Sport GR alloys painted bright red and measuring 20 inches in diameter. An H&R lowering kit ensures that the rims look perfect in their respective arches.
Wrapping the DA-Teambus is a black/grey film combo livened up with a red pinstripe – an obvious reference to the livery of the original A-Team van.
The eye candy is not where it all ends, though. ABT Sportsline says it has upgraded the stock 2.0-liter diesel engine, taking it from the usual 204 hp (152 kW) to 235 hp (175 kW).
The one-off conversion debuted at the Wörtherseetreffen-2019. ABT also brought a tuned 2019 VW Golf 7 R to the show, visible on some of the pics here.
