Volkswagen has published the first sketches of what it calls the ID. Space Vizzion Concept. The all-electric estate/wagon is said to combine Gran Turismo aerodynamics with SUV-like interior. The sales launch in the USA, Europe and China is penciled in for 2021.
The newcomer utilizes the MEB vehicle architecture you are likely already familiar with. It has quite a few design traits of other concept EVs, such as the ID. Roomzz, but manages to stay sufficiently original.
Nothing is being revealed about the tech, save for the driving range (WLTP cycle: 590 kilometers, or 366 miles). Rumor has it that the powertrain will be composed of two electric motors connected to a large traction battery.
Volkswagen promises that the ID. Space Vizzion Concept will not change much by the time it reaches the assembly lines. It also claims that the car will make extensive use of recycled and nature-friendly materials, especially in the cabin.
