Judging by these spy photos, Volkswagen has begun testing a pre-production version of the ID.6, an all-electric SUV based around the ID Roomzz Concept shown in the video.
The test mules wear Peugeot minivan bodywork for camo. The premiere should take place in 2021.
As you may remember, the Roomzz Concept had sliding doors, but there is little doubt that the production car will be getting completely standard doors. As for the powertrain, it may wind up with the dual-motor setup recently announced for the Skoda Enyaq iV RS. That one produces 306 PS (225 kW) and 460 Nm (340 lb-ft) of torque, and can cover up to 460 kilometers (286 miles) thanks to its large 125-kWh battery.
