The German car maker Volkswagen has announced its intentions to offer three new car model on the United States market before 2020.
According to Hinrich Woebcken, CEO of Volkswagen North America, these will include a high-end Passat GT and two crossovers. By doing this, the company expects to increase its market share in the United States and Canada and benefit from additional sales.
The recently presented Volkswagen Passat GT sedan comes with a 3.6-liter V6 engine which produces up to 280 hp with 349 Nm torque. Just how much different its U.S. version is going to be remains unclear.
The German brand is currently preparing the US/Canada market release of its latest C-Class Volkswagen Jetta. Its premiere will be accompanied by that of the four-door coupe Volkswagen Arteon.
