Hinrich J. Woebcken, CEO of Volkswagen North America, has said in a recent interview that the company was working on certain new models of its Atlas SUV. He refused to provide additional details at the time.
It should be noted that Volkswagen has lately applied for two new brand names, Atlas Allsport and Atlas Cross Sport. This seems to indicate a forthcoming release of at least two new instalments in the Atlas SUV line. Automotive professionals also expect a five-seat modification to be revealed soon.
At the time of this writing, Volkswagen Atlas is available in the United States with prices starting at $30,500. The cheapest version comes with a two-liter TSI engine capable of 235 horsepower. The top-of-the-line vehicle – Volkswagen Atlas SEL Premium – costs $48,490 and above, depending on the trim level.\
