Volkswagen AG has announced the forthcoming release of a powered-up Arteon sedan. The new car, which gets the suffix R, will ship with an improved engine capable of exceeding 400 horsepower. For comparison, the top-end Volkswagen Arteon available right now has an engine which is only 276 hp strong.
Speaking technically, the new Arteon R gets a 3.0-liter gasoline V6. According to Martin Hube of VW, all versions of the car will be shipped with the four-wheel drive system known as 4Motion.
Regrettably, the market release date and price of the new car remain unknown.
