The German automotive giant Volkswagen AG has torn the veil off its new battery-driven Volkswagen I.D. Vizzion Concept. The futuristic-looking vehicle – which, the manufacturer claims, will define the future of the industry – will enjoy its official debut at the International Motor show in Geneva, Switzerland starting on March 8, 2018.
The first immediately noticeable thing about the new VW I.D. Vizzion Concept is its vigorous dimensions: the car is over 5 m (16 ft.) long. It comes with an autopilot feature which has no trouble finding its own way around at all, even when the driver’s seat is empty. VW has emphasized that the vehicle can even be steered by voice commands and gestures.
The new VW I.D. Vizzion Concept gets an electric powertrain rated at slightly above 300 horsepower, can reach 180 km/h (112 mph) and travel as far as 665 kilometers (~413 mi) before depleting its batteries.
The official teaser pic of the new car shows an interior with four seats and not a steering wheel anywhere in sight.
Any further details about the Volkswagen I.D. Vizzion Concept will be revealed following the Geneva show.
