Volkswagen has just posted a teaser image previewing an affordable electric car planned for production – but there’s a catch.
It is expected to start from roughly €20,000 when it reaches the market in 2027. Why so late? The company doesn’t comment, but we suspect that its recent failed talks with Renault about building a cheap EV could be the reason. Developing a truly affordable and marketable battery car on your own can be difficult in the slow market of today.
