The German car tuning house ABT Sportsline GmbH has revealed a performance upgrade package for the Volkswagen T-Roc compact SUV. The car got purely technical enhancements this time around – no eye candy altogether.
The modestly-sized Volkswagen T-Roc normally ships with a 2.0-liter V4 engine rated at 190 hp (142 kW) and 320 Nm (236 lb·ft) of torque. Once upgraded by the ABT Sportsline engineers, its output went up to 228 hp (170 kW) and 360 Nm (265 lb·ft). The car was also retrofitted with 4WD and got a new 7-speed transmission. Its current acceleration performance isn’t being reported; the stock model makes it to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 7.2 seconds.
The Volkswagen T-Roc upgrade kit by ABT Sportsline also comes with sports suspension which reduces its road clearance by 40 millimeters (1.56 inches), as well as optional wheel sets 18 to 20 inches large.
