Volkswagen Group has announced a forthcoming presentation of its latest sub-brand, Scout. The resurrected American badge will present its lineup on October 24, 2024.
It’s been a few years since the German automotive giant revealed its intention to bring back the Scout badge. Construction of a new car factory in South Carolina began with a festive event in February this year. However, the completion is only scheduled for 2026, and the actual production start for 2027, so it’s going to be a while until the first Scout vehicles roll off the assembly line.
Understandably, there are still no technical details. All we know is that the company plans to make all-electric pickup trucks and SUVs on an innovative, purpose-designed platform.
