Volkswagen Arteon sedan is declassified

Volkswagen company presented the new Arteon sedan, which will become a new leader of a brand and will replace Passat CC model which was recently taken out of production. Cars have one and the same platform, though the novelty surpasses the predecessor in dimensions: length is increased by 10 cm and now makes 4860 mm, the wheelbase was extended by 5 cm and now it is 2840 mm.

Experts already estimated a car exterior, noting the sloping roof line, a new design of a front part with LED optics, more accurate lines of sidewalls and a big radiator grille. The interior, however, remained from Passat, however it was considerably refreshed with the display in a role of the dashboard and the big screen of information and entertaining system.

The engine range of sedan will include a gasoline turbo engine with a volume of 1.5 liters and a capacity of 150 liters, 2-liter engines with 190 and 280 liters and also three diesel engines with a volume of 2 liters and a power of 150, 190 or 240 hp. The cheapest versions will be equipped with a 6-band manual transmission, and more expensive versions  will have a seven-stage robotic transmission and four-wheel drive.

The car will get to mass production in summer of 2017, and will arrive to the European dealers in autumn.
