Volkswagen AG has arrived ahead of schedule at the Caravan Salon 2018 in Düsseldorf, Germany, bringing a new iteration of its worldwide popular California camper van. The vehicle is essentially the production version of the California XXL Concept, and is called the Grand California.
The car uses the Crafter platform and is almost six meters (~19.5 ft.) long and 2.2 meters (~7.2 ft.) tall. Its front seats can be rotated 180°, revealing a comfortable dinette.
Aside from this, the Volkswagen Grand California features a shower cabin with a 110-liter water tank, a kitchen sink, and a two-burner stove. Passengers may take advantage of wardrobes and various storage spaces, a 70-liter fridge, 1and a large bed. A second story add-on is purchasable as an option, adding two more beds and nearly another meter (3 ft.) of height.
Further options include a tent, a bike rack, central heating and other useful parking and camping equipment.
