ABT Sportsline has released a power upgrade for the VW Amarok pickup truck, or, more specifically, its top trim version that ships with a 3.0-liter diesel V6 rated at 255 hp (190 kW) and 580 Nm (428 lb×ft) of torque. The tuner has boost kits on offer for all Amarok trims now.
By installing and tweaking the ABT Engine Control chip, the team has managed to squeeze 302 hp (225 kW) and 630 Nm (465 lb×ft) of torque out of the diesel mill. As a result, the car now sprints 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 7.8 seconds and maxes out at 211 km/h (131 mph).
Owners of the 221-hp (165-kW) model can get an upgrade to 262 hp (195 kW), while those who have the old 177-hp (132-kW) version can benefit from a boost to 197 hp (147 kW).
Incidentally, the car you see on the photos here wears a Beast option package by Delta 4X4. Included are new suspension components, wheels and tires that combine into an impressive 250-mm (9.8”) lift kit.
