Volkswagen has unveiled the refreshed Atlas/Teramont range at the Chicago Auto Show 2020. Starting now, the SUV features AWD in all trims.
In terms of looks, the facelifted VW Atlas/Teramont looks more like its coupe-shaped counterpart – the Atlas Sport. Similarities include both bumpers, the radiator grillw with three chromed fins, LED headlights, and brake lights. The R-Line spec boasts originally designed bumpers, side skirts, and alloy wheels available in 20- and 21-inch sizes.
The interior now houses a new steering wheel, an 8-inch infotainment display, a digital dashboard, a Fender audio system, a three-zone climate control, contrast stitching, and a wireless charger.
Electronic driver aids now include blind zone monitoring, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, parking assist, traffic jam assist, all-around view camera set, and more.
The engine lineup stays the same. The 2020 VW Atlas still ships with a choice between a 2.0-liter turbo (235 hp, or 175 kW) and a V6 3.6 non-turbo (276 hp, or 206 kW). Both use the same eight-speed automatic gearbox design.
Sales should begin in spring.
