The German automotive giant is coming to the Las Vegas tuning show with a quartet of modified production cars, including Atlas Basecamp, Taos Basecamp, ID.4, and Jetta GLI Performance.
The Atlas Basecamp runs on the standard Atlas 4Motion chassis, improving upon the formula with an H&R suspension lift, Street Performance Adventure Lift coilovers, off-road tires, 17-inch wheels and an air pump useful for inflating such things as tourist beds or boats.
The Taos Basecamp boasts a different selection of off-road equipment. Its raised suspension grants extra ground clearance, while roll bars and bike mounts lend it to a variety of practical and leisure-oriented uses.
Rounding off the trio of cars introduced so far is the VW ID.4 EV Drone Command, an electric vehicle with a portable electric station on board and a dedicated drone compartment. 18-inch wheels and reinforced suspension help manage the increased weight.
The mysterious Jetta remains to be revealed in detail.
