The car you see here is called Milivie 1, is based on an old and rare VW Beetle 1303, and will be coming out in just 22 units priced at an eye-watering €570,000 in July next year.
The restorer works with the elusive VW Beetle 1303, which came out in the 1970s as a larger alternative to the standard Beetle (see video). The exterior is kept more or less recognizable with such modern additions as LED headlights, horseshoe taillights, a ducktail rear spoiler and new wheels.
Most of the change is in the cabin, where a single glass pane now unites the digital dash display with the infotainment system screen. Wireless smartphone charging, USB-A and USB-C ports are all on board. There is even a 220V power socket available.
Building one such vehicle takes thousands of work hours, the company claims. Each one is fitted with a flat-four engine 2.28 liters large, which is then connected to a four-speed A/T and AWD.
