Mecum Auctions has revealed an unusual and interesting lot that may be of interest to vehicle collectors. Included in the sale is a pickup truck modded from a VW T2 and a light motorbike dubbed Volkspod, which wears a VW Beetle fender for bodywork.
The main vehicle was a Volkswagen T2 Truck produced in Brazil in 1974. It received a complete overhaul a while ago, getting new wheels, adjustable shocks, new windows, chrome trims all around and other typical restomod goodies. The interior was redone in deep-pink leather and equipped with a modern multimedia center.
Power for the pickup comes from a 1.9-liter flat-four, twin-carb engine. The power remains undisclosed. Nothing specific is known about the Beetle scooter at this time.
