How do you like this Beetle dressed in a Rolls-Royce Halloween suit?

A Volkswagen Beetle droptop is on sale in Italy right now in decent condition with a Rolls-Royce styling kit on. The asking price of €9,500 isn’t much more than you would be expected to pay for a genuine Rolls-Royce in these parts, Carscoops points out: for example, a Silver Shadow would cost you around €13,000.

The car pictured here has no pedigree like that, though. It is a 1972 VW Beetle of uncertain origins, most probably a Super Beetle conversion by Kartmann. The front end was squared up a bit with the help of a new hood and a radiator grille vaguely resembling those of the British luxury marque. Flared fenders and faux chrome rings around new headlights also contributed to the whole impression. The rear end received a different engine bay lid without any visible air vents.

The tuner also took care to install wood-trimmed running boards at both sides and add décor like that to the cabin, too.

Nothing is said about the technical parameters of the car or its condition. Based on the photos, it is far from mint. The only thing specified in the listing is mileage, which the seller claims is at a relatively low 50,000 kilometers (~31,000 miles).
