Dedicated VW tuner ABT Sportsline has announced the forthcoming sales launch of its custom electric version of the Volkswagen Caddy LAV. In a couple days, the novelty will become available in select dealerships throughout Europe, but you won’t be able to buy it just like that.
Priced starting from €29,900, the ABT e-Caddy will be available on lease only, which presumes monthly payments of €293 and above that.
The minivan itself premiered at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show in September. Like its ICE-powered counterpart, the electric minivan will be available in two body styles: passenger van and commercial van.
Regardless of your choice, the car will ship equipped with a single 111-hp (83-kW) electric motor hooked onto a 37.3-kWh battery for 167 kilometers (104 miles) of WLTP-rated urban range.
