German automotive giant Volkswagen has introduced the entry-level ‘Beach’ version of its facelifted California T6.1 campervan. Let’s have a look, shall we?
The cabin no longer has that ‘motorhome’ look: there are two seats in front and a three-seat sofa in the back, which enables up to five passengers total. This affects the remaining living space, however, with the single-burner kitchenette feeling especially cramped.
Just like before the facelift, the 2020 van offers a transforming roof, a bed for two hidden in the rear seat row, and a touch-sensitive control panel on the ceiling.
The Volkswagen California Beach costs €48,000 in Germany, which is €16,500 below the Ocean trim version.
