Volkswagen has officially welcomed back the e-up!, which slots in below the ID.3 hatchback as the German marque’s most affordable electric subcompact in Europe.
The only spec available for purchase right now starts from €26,895. For their money, buyers get a 32.2-kWh battery rated at 258 km (160 miles) of WLTP range and an opportunity to replenish 80 percent of the charge within an hour.
Volkswagen dropped the e-up! from its 2021 lineup, allowing the Dacia Spring to become Europe’s best-selling EV with over 40,000 pre-orders. It appears only logical for the automaker to try to reclaim the leading position on the low-end EV market.
