Ready for more interesting reveals from the 2019 Tokyo Auto Salon? The car we are dealing with this time around is a seventh-generation Volkswagen Golf GTi.
The tuner team over at Varis called their body kit ‘Solid & Joker’. Unlike some ‘visual’ or faux carbon kits out there, this one is made completely of carbon fiber. It includes a hood with a single air intake in the middle, a front spoiler, side skirts, a massive roof-mounted rear wing and a track-style diffusor with five large fins.
The car also features BR Racing coilovers, 19-inch OZ Racing Ultraleggera HLT wheels, and an Armytrix exhaust system with stylish blue-burnt twin tips.
The body and the wheels both sport a neutral grey paintjob that goes especially well with the raw carbon parts.
The interior, too, makes intensive use of carbon fiber elements and sports an Alcantara-draped ceiling and front fascia.
The four-cylinder engine of the Volkswagen Golf GTi Mk7 also received some attention in the form of chip tuning, but the company didn’t tell us any specifics.
So, how do you like this latest bit of tuning from Varis?
