Remember the times when most Formula One cars used to be motorized cigarette ads? Back in the 1990s, you could sometimes see, like, 9 out of 10 racecars out there wearing the colors of one or another tobacco company. The laws have grown stricter since, and the situation has taken a turn to the better, but it seems that some people grew nostalgic about those times.
Meet Mark, the owner of this Volkswagen Golf GTi Gen.6, who asked German car wrap shop Enjoy Fahrzeugfolierung to give his ride a Marlboro-themed livery. No sooner said then done! Looking at this one, such iconic racecars as the Lamborghini Countach, Lancia Stratos, Ford GT and even the 1991 McLaren Honda MP4/6 spring to mind.
Aside from the wrap, the hot hatch gained a set of aerodynamically-shaped Rotiform Aero wheels, Bilstein air suspension, a Golf R-like front, a Wiechers roll cage, and a performance exhaust system.
From where we are standing, the ride looks rather sporty and memorable. Would you agree?
