Someone has managed to snap a pic of the newest Volkswagen Golf in its undisguised form, allegedly at the company’s main assembly facility in Germany. The official premiere remains scheduled for October 24, 2019.
Spy photos began cropping up as early as January, but the automaker keeps pretending this hasn’t happened, drip-feeding us hand-drawn sketches of the exterior and cabin of the new Golf. These are still enough to ascertain that the new generation is drastically different from all its predecessors, and tends to borrow certain elements from the all-electric ID line.
t is official that the Mk8 Golf comes based on the MQB architecture and boasts revised suspension, a wide range of electronic driver aids and systems, and a large variety of available powertrains, including mild and plug-in hybrids.
Sales in Europe will begin directly after the debut.
