Volkswagen AG has designed a new attraction for the buyers of its all-electric Golf hatchback model: for €215, they can enter the factory and help assemble their own car.
The Dresden factory will admit groups of four visitors at any given time, each of whom will get the opportunity to assist the technicians in installing the brake lights, the faux grille and the badges on the e-Golf body. They will also be able to provide help during the final alignment of the main body units and the placement of the electric motor.
The ticket cost includes a behind-the-scenes tour through several VW facilities, as well as admittance to a thematic exhibition with a 10% discount on all branded merchandise.
