The top-spec VW Golf R won’t be out until next month or so, but thanks to the combined efforts of people with cameras, we can get a pretty good idea of what it looks like right now.
Apparently, the eighth R hot hatch boasts a revised aerodynamic kit with massive air intakes and a large rear diffuser. The tailpipes are also bulkier than before, and there are as many as four on display.
While not confirmed, many believe the Golf R Mk8 will ship with a 2.0-liter turbo-four engine rated at 333 hp (248 kW), partnered with a DCT gearbox and all-wheel drive.
The eighth generation of the Golf debuted last October, and the GTI spec was revealed this February. The R is expected sometime in late August.
