Germany is famous for its fantastic high-speed freeways. Still, few people ever wonder just how hard chasing down criminals may be on such perfect roads. It’s not like your regular police force has enough budget to blow it all off on Porsche or Mercedes cars.
That’s where the car tuning professionals from Oettinger come into the picture. The guys have retrofitted the regular Volkswagen Golf R hatchback to satisfy all the requirements associated with a modern police car.
Thus, the vehicle now sports a shiny new livery alongside a stylish body kit encompassing side skirts, a front spoiler, a rear spoiler, and a diffusor. As the tradition demands, the car also received a set of unique 20-inch wheels and a sporty exhaust system.
The new Oettinger Volkswagen Golf 400R «Tune it! Safe!» Concept comes with an improved 2.0-liter engine now capable of more than 400 horsepower. Driven by it, the car makes its 0-100 km/h (0-60 mph) run in 3.6 seconds.
