German tuner issues Stage II upgrade for VW 2.0 TSI

TurboZentrum has released a turbocharger kit compatible with the Volkswagen Golf Mk5, Mk6 GTi and a number of other cars using the same two-liter turbo engine. Once installed, the upgrade can raise the output to 300 PS (296 hp / 221 kW), although the specific gain depends on your car.

The new turbo has the index ‘K03’ and is compatible with timing-belt and chain transmissions, enabling its installation in a wide range of vehicles. Examples include the Audi A3 and TT, the Volkswagen Beetle and Scirocco, the Škoda Octavia and Superb, and the Seat Alhambra for those of us who don’t mind racing in a minivan.

Aside from the turbocharger, the kit includes replacements for the intake and the downpipe. Software adjustments also need to be made for it to work efficiently. An intercooler upgrade is suggested, but not mandatory.

Compared to the Stage I upgrade for the same engine released earlier, this one features heavy-duty bushings, a larger charger rotor and a more robust housing.
