The facelifted Volkswagen Golf keeps getting new powertrain options in Europe. The latest addition comes in the form of not one, but two different plug-in hybrids.
The Golf GTE is the sportier of the two. It commands 272 PS (268 hp / 200 kW) and can cover up to 131 km (81 miles) in all-electric mode before the charge runs out. This one starts from €46,745 in Germany.
The Golf eHybrid is slightly more affordable at €44,240 before options. It is capped at 204 PS (201 hp / 150 kW), but covers up to 143 km (89 miles) in electric mode.
