Looks like VW GTI fans have much to be happy about these days. First they get a hi-end Golf GTI TCR sedan which is the fastest in the series, and now the German car tuner shop Oettinger releases an extensive upgrade for the Golf GTI hot hatch.
The stock 2.0-liter turbocharged engine of the vehicle got a boost from the standard 230-245 hp (172-183 kW) to some respectable 355 hp (265 kW). This has predictably improved its acceleration performance, enabling it to dart to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just a little over 5 seconds.
Oettinger has also devised a nice body kit to go with all the engine improvements. The package includes a vented hood cover, a diffusor, a rear wing, a splitter and a pair of side skirts. All parts are aggressively styled and look perfect with larger steel exhaust pipes and a novelty wheel set.
Oettinger hasn’t mentioned the price of the Golf GTI performance package just yet.
