Germany-based car tuning atelier Boba Motoring has released a video featuring a heavily modded second-gen Volkswagen Golf accelerating 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in breathtaking 2.1 seconds and hitting 300 km/h (186 mph) in 8.7s.
The sleeper car was boosted in Boba Motoring. It received a reworked 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with 1,233 hp (919 kW) under its command. The atelier says that the car is the fastest-going VW with a DCT box.
The all-wheel-driven VW Golf weighs in at only 1,220 kg (2,690 lb). It accelerates to 200 km/h (125 mph) in 5.4s and finishes the quarter-mile drag race streak in 8.76s.
